Summer Makeup Bag

For me summer is a particular difficult time to wear makeup. I find it a little bit pointless to be honest. With all that heat, all the efford you have put on doing your makeup in the morning goes to waste the minute your step out of your front door. Everything starts to melt of your face and you end up with no coverage and sometimes panda eyes. So sad. But thankfully I have found products that stay on my face for a little bit longer than 5 minutes so I thought I'd share with you what works for me.

THE FACE: When it comes to my complexion I try to use some creamy base, like a BB cream with a little bit of coverage just to make my skin look more even. I use the Garnier BB Cream Conbination to Oily Skin in Light. It's a very light coverage BB Cream enought to cover any spots, but you can always build it up if you want to. What I love about this is that it gives my skin that JLo glow. Goals. Also can we talk about the smell of this product. SO GOOD. I can smell it all day. To give myself a little bit more coverage and hide though dard undereye circles I use my trusty Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in No.20(Sand) which I am running low on and can't find anywhere in stock. Please send help.(I have been informed its been discontinued. BOO) Then I really love to bronze up my copmlexion in the warmer months and gine my skin that sun kissed look because tanning is not really my thing. I use the Avon Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls. It's baiscally a little pot with many colored pearls that you swirl your brush in and you put all over your face. That's what I end up doing anyway. I know mad. And finally to give my cheeks a bit of colour I use the H&M Blush Stick in Peachy Cheeks or Coral Blush. These are both for H&M's old beauty range so I don't now if you can find something similar now. But They are both very beautiful summer colors for your cheeks, very creamy formula that you put on your cheeks stair for the pot and the you blend with your fingers or a brush.

THE EYES: For they eyes I currently love a very natural gold look. For that I use the H&M Eye Colour-To-Go in Sun On Sand which is a gorgeous gold eyshadow in pencil form which you apply on your eyelead and the blend with your finger or with a brush. When I want a bronzier eye look I go for the H&M Colour Essence Eye Cream in Countess which is basically a creamy eyeshadow in a pot with amazing glow but not at all glittery that makes it look that you put so much effort in your eye makeup when you actually didn't. If I am feeling extra adventurous I will add a bit of eyeliner. I like to use brown eyeliner to make things look more natural like this Biolife extreme Eye Pencil in Chocolat No. 390 which is a very soft pencil liner that goes on smoothly without having to add a lot of pressure, Too finish it of I use my trasty MAYBELLINE NY The Falsies to give me amazing voluminous lashes.

THE LIPS: On the lips I enjoy using my trasty Golden Rose Velvet Matte Lipstick in No. 01, which is an amazing browny nude matte shade in such an amazing price and so long-lasting, that gives that 90's vibe. If you like more bold choices then you should go for the Avon Ultra Color Bold Lipstick in Peony Pop, which is a bright neon pink great for summer. If you don't feel that adventurous the you can mix the too. I like to put a little bit of the Golden Rose one over the Avon one to mute it down and the result is as amazing.
What's in your summer makeup bag? I would love to know. Let me no in the comments below.

5 Things to do on a Hot Day

It's the perfect summer day and you are stuck in an empty city not knowing what to do. It's to hot inside the house and you don't want to go outside because it even hotter. Every one of as has been in a situation like that at least once in their lifes -don't try to deny it. Well don't you worry because I have some ideas on how you can tern this day from an nightmare into a paradise.

Hit the beach: You heard me right. Go put your bikini on grab you hat, sunscreen and a tower and head over to the beach. There is not better way to spend a hot summer day. Here in Greece we are very fortunate to have amazing beaches withing arms reach. So go find a spot and enjoy your coctail while having the time of your life.

Hit the pool: If you are not that lucky to have the sea near you, I got you covered. Grap a friend a go find a fancy hoter with a fancy pool to spend your day at. You will have the same ammount of fun not very far from your home.

Have a water gun fight: If for any reason you can do none of the above the go grab your water pistols with some friends and have a water gun fight in your backyard. There is no better way to cool of  trust me.

Go shopping to the mall: There's nothing better than a air-conditioned space that has so much stuff you can see, eat and buy. Mostly buy. I love going to the mall on a hot summer day. All the clothe, the makeup waiting for me to give them attention. So  if you want to avoid the heat and if you're feeling extra spenty here's the place for you.

Find a shady spot and read a book: If you want to avoid the noise of the mall and you want to spend your time more relaxed then go find a spot with plenty of shade in your garden, grab a cold glass of lemonade and sit down and read your favourite book. There's no better way to chill.

Hot Summer Day Essentials

You have to love those hot summer days. Not only because of the weather but also because you have nothing to do- well at least I don't since I am a college student-Hooray! But the only bad thing about it is you stuggle to survive them unless you are in the beach with your gals having the time of your life. But some of us don't have that luxury every single day so here are a few thigns that might come in handy in order to survive a hot summer day in the city.

Water: Yeah I know pretty basic and boring but it's a life saver in that hit. Have you ever had that life or death situation that you desparetely need an bottle of water and you don't have one with you? Well I did and it was pretty bad. So always carry a cold bottle of water with you in order to stay hydrated in the heat.

Sun Protection: Also a pretty boring one but a very important one as well. If you don't want your skin to get burned-been there, done that couldn't sit anywhere for a week-you might want to put some sunscreen on, especially if you are out in the sun all day. I love the Carroten Sensicare Suncare Milk SPF50 for my body and the Carroten Hydra Plus Suncare Face Cream SPF30 for my face. They both smell amazing and I actually got them together in a very good deal for something like 50% off a long time ago.

Sunglasses: I can't leave without my sunnies when I am out  of the house even when it's cloudy outside. I know I am a crazy woman. So of course sunglasses are an essential for me on a hot summer day. I have these Rayban Aviator one but I am looking for a new purchase, the Clubmaster ones. Sunglasses not only protect you from going blind in the sun but also give an extra edge to your outfit. WIN WIN.

Hats: I am a sucker for hats and I have been told that they really suit me but I never wear them because I think they make me look funny. Someone talk some sense to me. Hats are a massive trend lately and they come in all shapes and sizes. I especially love the fedoras and the floppy ones. And not only protect your face from getting burned but the give an nice touch in your outfit of choice which is a great plus for me.

The Wardobe Edit: Summer Edition

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

If you don't know already I have a big passion about fashion and clothes in general. I don't know what it is about it but it fashinates me.  Especially in the summertime where there are so many amzing shapes and patterns you can pick from. Sometimes it can be a little bit overwhelming. Haven't you all have that moment where you are in a shop and yoou want it all. Well I defenately have and it's blooming scary. So today I though I would share with you my top summer wardrobe picks,

The Denim Shorts: There are so many different shapes and patterns you can choose for your shorts but you can't go wrong with a denim pair of shorts. If they are high-waisted even better -because I love high-waisted stuff- in your bum isn't peaking through, SCORE! I have been searching for a high-waisted pair of shorts that fits my criteria for quite a while and I have been eye this H&M one.

The Maxi Skirt: Ahhh the maxi skirt. What a doll. I love, love, love a good maxi skirt. Either a patterned one or a monochrome one. You can put it on whenever you don't feel like shaving your legs and none will notice. Do not judge me on this one but sometimes it's very boring to shave your legs. I love this Stradivarius one  with a cheeky cut on the side.

The Crop Top: Another favourite of mine. I have a deep love for crop tops. You can pair them with a lot of high waisted stuff and look chic and amazing by showing a little bit of skin in a very elegant way. If you feel extra confident you can expose your tummy area, but be careful on this one. I have been eyeing this Stadivarius one with the cuts on the sides but when I went to purchase it they didn't have my number. What-A-Shame.

The Playsuit:  Feel extra bored to find a top and a bottom piece to put together and make yourself look semi-presentable? Here comes the playsuit or romper. You put it one in a matter of minutes and you are ready to go and you don't have to woory in your top matches with your trousers. Currently I am head over heels for this Stradivarius number in the black, So chic,

The Dress: I love dresses in the summer. They are my favourite thing to wear. Especially the flow-y one, I love the freedom the provide you and how they don't stick on your body like a glue. Also I have a special place in my heart for patterned dresses because of that boho vibe. Love this one with the flowers, So summery.

The Summer Nail Edit

With summer really stepping foot into our lifes with those amazing sunny hot days, the tans, the cocktails the bonfires on the beach - someone stop me I can go on forever about how much I love summer-  I thought today I would share with you mThis is a great rs that I like to paint my nails with in the summer time. Now let me tell you it was a tough one for me to chose my fave colors because  I have a sweet spot for nail lacquer and I am always under the impression that I don't have enough when in fact I think I have more than I actually need. Enough rumbling lets get to the post.

Elixir 60" Fast Dry in No.160 This is a very beautful pastel blue shade that I absolutely love, because lately I have a thing for blue. Its a very pretty one, very natural not at all in your face kinda blue. It's a great formula- it last on me for about 5 days before it starts cheaping-with the normal aplication brush and also very budger friendly.

Essie in Lapiz of Luxury This is also a very pretty blue a little darker this time than the previous one but not at all a winter blue. Also a very natural looking shade and very long lasting formula. A little bit more on the expensive side for a nail polish if you ask me but so so worth it.

Elixir 60" Fast Dry in No.138 Moving on to another color palette this is a gorgeous looking orange more like a peachy kinda shade. Have to tell you looks great with a tan and it requires only one coat althought I tend to do two just to make the color pop even more.

Essie in Coacha'bella I am pretty sure you can already tell there a theme going on here brand wise what can  I say when I find a formula that I love I stick with it. First of all love the name. For some reason it reminds me of Coachella,no clue why :P. Now this is a pink-ish shade with a purple undertone to it that creates a very pretty deep but fun shade.

Elixir in (sorry the No. is missing)  This is a great hot pink shade, very bright and very summery.Probably one that I really love to wear when I am feeling extra confiden. Looks even better on a tanned skin.
